Taco Wars returned to downtown Shreveport, bringing a full day of flavor, music, and cultural celebration. The city’s favorite taco festival once again featured top vendors battling for the title of Shreveport’s best taco and salsa.
In previous years, the competition crowned some standout winners. In 2022, El Novillo Carniceria took home Best Taco honors, while Ramirez Mexican Restaurant won Best Salsa. In 2023, Mi Merradito was named Best Taco, Ramirez repeated their win for salsa, and Taqueria San Miguel scored a $1,000 prize for a special Best Taco award. As Taco Wars heads into 2025, one eager voter is already rooting for Pedro’s Taco Bar to take the crown.
Alongside the fierce competition, Taco Wars expanded its entertainment offerings with more Latin music and a special call for bachata dancers. While Shreveport’s dance floor showed signs of new energy, organizers hope even more dancers will step up in future years.
With free admission, incredible food, and non-stop music, today’s Taco Wars once again confirmed that Shreveport knows how to throw a fiesta full of flavor and heart.
